About Metrolinx GO Transit

  • GO Transit began regular passenger service on May 23, 1967
  • GO Trains were nicknamed "Thunder Wagons" back in the late 1960s as they had to run at full throttle at full stops to keep lights and heating working in the coaches
  • Official launch of Wi-Fi in the Metrolinx fleet was in September 2020
